Texas Solar Output Breaks National Record
Texas hit a new solar generation record in March 2026, topping 33 gigawatts, over 50% higher than California’s peak output. Court Restores 160M Acres for Arctic Seals
A federal appeals court reinstated critical habitat protections across 160 million acres of Alaska’s Arctic coast for bearded and ringed seals. Uruguay Runs Grid on 99% Renewables
Uruguay now generates nearly all its electricity from renewables, with wind and solar rising from effectively zero in 2010 to 43% today alongside dominant hydropower. Machine Keeps Human Uterus Alive Outside Body

Humpback whales have rebounded to near pre-whaling numbers around the South Orkney Islands, where over 2 million whales were killed in the 20th century. First Sperm Whale Birth Captured on Film
Drone footage off Dominica recorded the first detailed sperm whale birth, showing 11 whales surrounding mother Rounder during a 34-minute labor. English Nightjar Numbers Double in Five Years
Nightjar numbers in the South Downs National Park doubled to 78 birds recorded last year, with 109 territories logged, a record high.
