Measles Deaths Fall 88% Since 2000
Annual measles deaths fell dramatically by 88% from 777,000 to 95,000 between 2000 and 2024. Vaccinations prevented an estimated 58 million deaths globally during this period. Routine immunisation with second-dose coverage rising from 17% to 76% reshaped immunity. Read more here.
